Questionnaire for State Candidates
If elected in November, 2018, would you support or oppose legislation on the following six issues?
1. Education:  I would support/oppose legislation that would:
  • Provide additional public school funding for arts and theater.
  • Increase regulations on home schools.
2. Environment: I would support/oppose legislation that would:
  • Ban pesticide spraying on school, park, and other public grounds.
  • Reallocate funding to ensure safe drinking water.
3. Health: I would support/oppose legislation that would:
  • Enact an opioid reduction act that would promote alternative therapies.
  • Allow conscientious and religious exemption to vaccination requirements for school and workplace.
4. Poverty and Housing: I would support/oppose legislation that would:
  • Partner state and local Housing Commissions to provide a continuum of care for episodic, transitional, and chronic homeless individuals and families.
  • Lessen housing and zoning regulations and homebuilding fees.
5. Special Needs Children: I would support/oppose legislation that would:
  • Prefer adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live in the community with needed services and supports rather than in institutions.
  • Create a task force to address the autism epidemic.
6. Taxes: I would support/oppose legislation that would:
  • Repeal the Gas Tax and Vehicle Registration Fee increase.
  • Modify Prop 13 to make property tax rates more equitable.
